Privacy policy

This policy explains what data the KorvAI app and this website handle, and why. KorvAI is made by VENZPIRE, registered in [COUNTRY] at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). Questions: email us.

The short version

• KorvAI has no cloud storage and no upload step. Your projects are folders on your Mac.
• The AI chat runs the AI tool you installed (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI or Qwen Code). That tool sends your messages, the transcript text it reads and small frame grids to its provider under your own agreement with them. We never receive them.
• This website measures visits with Google Analytics only if you click Allow.
• Payments are handled by Dodo Payments. We never see your card details.

This website

Analytics. If you allow it in the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies (_ga and _ga_<ID>, kept for up to two years) and records pages viewed, clicks on the trial and checkout buttons, the page that sent you here, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own terms. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Preferences. Your cookie choice and light or dark theme are saved in your browser's local storage. They are not sent anywhere.

Hosting. Our web host may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and to keep the site running.

Starting a trial

Starting a free trial asks for your email address. We also record where you came from: any utm_ tags in the link, a referral code, the site that sent you here, the page you landed on, and the name of an ad network if you arrived through one (never the ad click id itself, only which network it came from). This is kept in this browser tab's session storage, and carried across visits in local storage only if you allow analytics in the cookie banner. When you go to checkout, the same source information is passed along to Dodo Payments so a purchase can be matched back to where it came from. We store trial, license and source data in Google Firebase (Firestore) and use it only to count trials and purchases and see which channels bring real customers. We never sell it.

Buying a license

Checkout is run by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, invoicing and sales tax. Dodo Payments shares with us your name, email address, country and order details so we can deliver your license and help with support or refunds. Dodo Payments' own privacy policy covers the data it handles.

The KorvAI app

• Your media and projects stay in folders on your Mac. Transcription, captions, voice cleanup, auto reframe, color, beat detection, rendering and export all run on your Mac.
• AI chat. KorvAI starts the AI tool you installed and signed in to. What that tool sends to its provider, and how the provider uses it, is governed by your agreement with that provider.
• Services you connect yourself, such as stock footage search (Pexels, Pixabay), AI generation providers and YouTube publishing, are contacted directly from your Mac with your own keys or sign-in. Stock search sends only your search words and filters. Keys and sign-ins are kept in your macOS Keychain.
• Speech models are downloaded once from Hugging Face the first time you need them. Hugging Face sees the download request.
• Updates. The app checks our update feed to see whether a new version is available. That request shows our host your IP address and the app version.
• Trial and license. Starting a trial or activating a license sends your email (when given), a hashed identifier of your Mac (not the identifier itself), and the app and macOS versions to our server, so it can start your trial, check an existing one and validate license keys. This is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore).
• License. When you enter a license key, the app may verify it with Dodo Payments, which then sees the key and your IP address.
• Crash reports are off by default. If you turn them on, reports are saved on your Mac only, and you decide whether to send one to us.

How long we keep data

Order and license records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Support emails are kept while we help you and for up to two years after. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

KorvAI is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced on this site.
