What formats and codecs can KorvAI export?

KorvAI exports video in H.264, HEVC or ProRes 422 HQ, with PCM or AAC audio. You can export a full video, audio only, a still frame, or a GIF. For resolution and aspect ratio, pick "Match timeline," a named shape, or set a custom size; frame rate works the same way, with "Match timeline" or a picked rate.

One thing to know: H.264 cannot encode very wide frames on most Macs. If your export is too wide for H.264, KorvAI tells you directly: "H.264 can't encode frames wider than N pixels on most Macs. Pick HEVC or ProRes for this size." Switch to HEVC or ProRes and the limit goes away.

What export presets are built in?

Named presets cover the common destinations, each with its own resolution and bitrate:

GIF exports offer a smaller set of frame rates: 10, 12, 15 or 24 fps.

What loudness target should I use?

Export lets you pick a loudness target: your project's own level, off, -14 LUFS, -16 LUFS or -23 LUFS. All named export presets default to -14 LUFS, the level KorvAI notes most streaming sites play at; broadcast delivery typically wants -23 LUFS instead. If you are not sure, leave the default; it matches what viewers on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok will hear.

What does the pre-export check look for?

Before export, KorvAI runs a check and shows errors and warnings so you catch problems before you share the file, not after.

Errors stop a clean export: an empty timeline, or a clip whose media file is missing.

Warnings flag things worth a look: black frames (gaps with no picture), black bars (picture that does not fill the frame), flash frames shorter than three frames, captions with no transcribed speech under them, titles that start outside the frame, and no audible sound anywhere in the project.

When the check finds something, you get three choices: Export Anyway, Ask Claude to Fix, or Cancel.

How do I export captions as SRT?

Open the subtitle editor to review and merge caption lines, then export them as an SRT file to go alongside your video. "Follow Speech Again" drops any manual line edits and resyncs captions to the transcript if you want to start over.

How do I publish to YouTube?

  1. Open Publish and sign in

Sign in with your Google account. KorvAI keeps you signed in for next time, with credentials kept in your macOS Keychain.

  2. Fill in the details

Set a title up to 100 characters, a description up to 5000 characters (auto-filled with a chapter list from your markers), and tags. You can also tap "Write with Claude" to have the AI draft these for you.

  3. Set visibility and disclosures

Choose a visibility (private by default), answer the required "Made for kids" question, and toggle "Altered or synthetic content" if relevant; this switches on automatically if your project used AI generation.

  4. Upload

The thumbnail uses the frame at your playhead. Start the upload and watch the progress bar; when it finishes you get links to watch on YouTube or open the video in YouTube Studio.

If the build you are using has not been set up for YouTube publishing, the Publish sheet tells you directly: "Not set up in this build," since it needs a Google client ID configured for that build.

  • Three codecs. H.264, HEVC and ProRes 422 HQ, with PCM or AAC audio.
  • -14 LUFS by default. Matches most streaming platforms; switch to -23 for broadcast.
  • Check before you export. The pre-export check catches black frames, caption gaps and more.
  • SRT export is built in. Merge and export caption lines from the subtitle editor.
  • Publish without leaving the app. Sign in once; YouTube credentials stay in your Keychain.
